I gotta ask, why did you go with an automatic GXP ???

THe stickshift was the only reason I could see that justified the decision to pay what GM was trying to get for the GXP.

Regardless, nice car.

Auto's are faster.

Car is 95% stock. I've only added the VCM OTR CAI.

As for the SS, I'm only interested in it right now. I wouldn't get rid of the GXP for anything...yet.

But, ff the "auto" you are referring to is a dual clutch transmission, then I agree it's the fastest trans on the road. That fact is common knowledge

Between the two of us, we've got less than 400 posts; virtual noobs!

Our car's don't have magnetic ride control or double clutch transmissions. Actually, I was stupid to buy mine because it is an automatic and I paid close to $40 (tax, tag, title, out the door) for it.

The icing on the cake is that Pontiac is now gone and nobody will buy our cars. The fact that only 1,829 of them were sold is brutally hurting my re-sale value right as I type this.

Just imagine if a company like Chevy were to come out w/the exact same car as my lowly GXP, except for a few upgrades, and only sold around 2,000 of them before they decided to halt the production...I mean, that would be horrible!

It's REALLY going to hurt when the new lightweight Alpha chassis V8's and the new IRS Mustangs hit the road.

I'm from NC and also own a Pontiac G8. Care to share your opinion on North Carolinians?

I love the Carolina's. Spent 7 years in Charleston and did some traveling around up there.

Unlike TTC6, that probably lives in his mother's basement still, my job has carried me all over the globe and because of IT I now live in S. GA. But TTC6 will just call you a Hick.

BTW, how do you like your GT? I've really enjoyed, and still do, the G8 platform.
