Hello all,

The name is Mark and I am a Pontiac fan at heart and owning two Holdens kind of made me a Holden fan, by accident.

Well, I figured one of these days I'll end up with an SS at one point in time so why not hang around here? It'll probably be the best place to come across info about them and see what the kinks are that need to be worked out along the way.

Of course this would be pointless if I didn't have photos of my Holdens...

Welcome!!!

G8 GT and 69 Camaro owner here. Chevy guy at heart but Chevy didn't have anything to offer that compared to the G8 back in 2009. I was all set to by a 2010 Camaro SS to park next to my 69 until I sat in one. With it being a virtual blind spot, I said **** no and took a test drive in a G8 GT and fell in love with the room, the performance, the looks, THE PRICE since Pontiac was closing their doors and practically giving them away. The funny thing is to this day, only a small portion of the population even know what it is. Many just ask if it's a G6 since I have it debadged. After hanging out at this site for a bit, it appears that many of the SS fans don't even know about the G8 either, but that's what makes it cool.

A few photos of my Holden:

Welcome Mark, My names Mark by the way. We're all slowly learning more about the SS and what it has and hasn't got. There's only one extremely glaring omission to date (2 if you count lack of colour) and that's the manual trans.
So strap in and hold on for a truly great ride. (I hope)

Welcome to the madness, I missed my chance at a GXP but quickly snagged an SS. My Goat is still my number one though. ;)

I'm the former original owner of a '04 Quicksilver M6 GTO and a Maverick Silver '09 G8 GT (no roof, sport package). Loved them both and am seriously considering a SS. While some may feel the exterior isn't aggressive enough, I personally find it very alluring. Holden did a great job classy-ing it up and refining it a bit further than the previous generation, and at it's current price, represents a very solid value.

Make mine a Mystic Green, no roof/spare model and I very may well pick one up.

If it were a manual, it would be already sitting in my garage. ;)

If you liked your GTO and G8, you will absolutely love the SS!!! Don't hesitate...they aren't saying how many will be available, my dealer is only getting one, and I now have it. :)
