I got limo tint all around not sure what % that is... and i got the blizzack LM-32..... Great tire i feelLooks great!... What tint % did you get? And what winter tires did you go with? If I got an SS it would be a daily driver for me... I'd go with 5-10% tint and here in Missouri we get snow so I'd have to get winter tires also.
I think that stands true for ALL states. Except for the top few inches.TNT44: FYI, tinting on the front widows is illegal in MI
He was talking about door windows, not windshield!I think that stands true for ALL states. Except for the top few inches.

Haha yeah, he's brave, with tint like that where I live you'll have to roll down your front windows if a cop rolls up just so they won't see it and ticket you for it.He was talking about door windows, not windshield!

My car probably won't get in until xmas so I want to have my winter tires ready to mount when it gets in. I've looked on tire rack and talked to them on the phone. If you search for winter tires on Tire Rack for the SS, they only list tires that are the exact OEM specs for both the front and rear tires. Only two tires met this criteria. They only list OEM sized tires because they have not measured the SS to know what other sizes would fit on it. I am waiting to hear back on a couple questions from the Chevy Cust Assist, who forwarded my questions to their tech team. I'll post the answers when I hear back. I also told them to give Tire Rack and other retailers the measurements they need. Here is how I narrowed it down so far. What tires did you put on? I'm having a hard time finding many options for the SS tire sizes.

I started by looking for which winter tire I'd get regardless of fit on the SS. I found this chart, for a very unscientific comparison. Picked a couple tires on the list, checked to see if the tires could fit on the OEM wheels (see below) and read reviews for them. The email from the tech team will tell me if the tires (and wheels) will fit properly on the SS.
I am going to get winter wheels but this explanation is for if you want to mount them on the OEM wheels. Since I don't know exact specs, I looked for tires that fit a 19" wheel and is close to the OEM dimensions. Specifically, the first number I looked for was either 245 or 255. The second number is 40 or 45. The last has to be 19. This way I knew the tires would at least be close to OEM dimensions and had a good chance to fit properly.
Two tires that appear to fit were the Michelin xIce 3 and Michelin Pilot PA4 (not listed in chart but newer version of PA3).The michelin xIce 3 has a size that Tire Rack (and Michelin's website) says could fit 19" wheels with widths ranging from 7.5" to 9", which would be both the front and rear wheels. Click on the specs tab on the link, I'm referring to the tire listed last, 245/45R19/XL. The PA4 has a 245/40R19 for wheel widths between 8" and 9.5".
Now I am just waiting to hear back from Chevy. Before you purchase any tires, I would make sure that you confirm with Chevy that they will fit properly on your car.
SS OEM Specs
Front Tires: 245/40R19
Front Wheels: 19" x 8.5" (48.3cm x 21.59cm)
Rear Tires: 275/35R19
Rear Wheels: 19" x 9" (48.3cm x 22.9cm)
I've done quite a bit of research and haven't seen any bad reviews of the LM-32. But every direct comparison/ranking said the PA4 was a better overall winter performance tire. I also have seen a number of comments about the LM 32 being too noisy. The Blizzacks LM-32 that i got, is an awesome winter tire and they have the exact same size available that we currently have on the car.....
