All American Sunday, first autocross event for the SS. Had a ball. Tip would be trust the brakes, they are very good. Trick is convincing people that it isn't a Malibu before you go out...

Seems to be a tight course which you handled well...

Any other advice for potential AutoXers?

Thanks man. Make sure your front tires are aired up well, found about 40-42 psi to be good, less seemed to roll the sidewall. Also, don't hit the mute button on the dashcam before the event... :bangheadonwall:

We ran our '12 Caprice 9C1 at our last regional autocross event. Started with 45#F 42#R and let the pressure drift up with the heat in the tires. I added a bit in the front as the day went on. Ended up with 53#F, 49#R and I think a bit more would have helped. Street tires and the lack of camber, more pressure can help keep what little tread that's on the ground planted.

Actually, fairly open, but a few fast offsets. On one run, even with all the nannies turned off as much as possible, I got the car too tail out for it's liking. I passed the finish lights with the ABS buzzing away, and my right foot firmly planted on the accelerator, but the throttle Was only about 1/4 open. I was laughing out loud at that.

53# is pretty high, but since we were camber-challenged, and running a relatively narrow tire (for the size and weight of the car), the pressure makes up for those compromises a bit. We used to run about 55# F and 45# R in a F Stock SVO we used to autocross with pretty good success. Again, stock class rules limiting camber adjustments and tire/wheel size.

That just seems so high, but I guess you know your car.

For reference, last year I was at 33F/R in my CS M3 on Z2s. I had less than a degree of negative camber per side.

My brother runs 34F/32R in his FS '12 Mustang Brembo Package on RE-71Rs. He also has little negative camber.

That is because it is high. I bet it is 4-5psi higher than what the maximum tire pressure is for that tire. I ran 45/37psi in the stock tires and barely touched the shoulders. I also run the same amount in my Z2s on a '13 Boss 302 without issue.
