I wouldn't worry too much about that. The OEM paint isn't very good quality. It damages very easily.

Good point, and I agree with you immensely regarding the factory paint. It's applied very thin and easily chips. Also, the color deviations between the metal and plastic is horrid, at least on my white SS. If I become more fluid, I would have the car repainted with something from Rolls-Royce paint. It sounds expensive, but in reality, it isn't that bad.
