Guys,
Formerly from Australian been states side for 28yrs married a Southern belle..Worked for GM Holden Dealers for many years sold the 1st Model VB Commodore back in 1979, had a Limited Edition VC Brock Special as a Demo
( wish I had it now )
Commodore was a Great car then and its an even better car now... no matter what badge it has on it ...it will always be a Commodore to me... My 1st New car was a 1970 HT Holden Ute... Currently I am in the process of Importing a 2011 Commodore Calais V Wagon ... I would love another ute but not enough seats for my 2 kids... Had a Pontiac G8 GT until last August when I returned home to Australia for 5 months...That's when I found the Calais Wagon and Randy the Left Hand Drive Conversion Specialist from Denver. One of his HSV Maloo Utes is in my garage now waiting for the new Owner to pick it up//

Hey, good to see you here. I read your posts with interest over at G8forum.

"Holden" gets in your blood - hard to get out.
I've still got my HZ Kingswood, still got my VC Brock, Still got my VE SS/V Special Edition (G8) and love the VF SS/V Redline ute.
You will turn some heads over there with the Ute & wagon....Good luck with it.

Thankx... We already have a doner Pontiac G8 GT in place for the wagon's arrival..it was a theft recovery with no engine or trans... We will need the dash, windscreen, front guards / fenders, hood, seat tracks, wiper motor and blades, lots of little this, etc...
An up grade to a Local LS3 / 6.2 Ltr is planned but may change... a new Pontiac GXP Front Bumper is on it's way over from Aust. The Wagon already has the FE 3 Suspension Option and Red Line Brembo Brakes...New Wheels and tires will be purchased locally.. should be a show winner / show stopper ///...Especially being a Calais... it will almost be a Clubsports Wagon...if this one sells we plan on looking for a genuine Clubsports Wagon.

Sounds like you have a nice collection of Holden's what colour is the Brock Special..my demo was White//

The original "Brock" wheels live in the shed. But that's the only
change I've made to original. I'll be buried in this car.

Love the VC.

I had a funny conversation with my 16 year old daughter the other day. She goes to a very expensive private school (hence why I still drive a 12 year old Commodore). She is a real petrol head (I'm so proud :)) and showed me a photo she took in the school carpark and said "See Dad, someone at the school is poorer than you !"

This was the photo:

I then showed her one on carsales at $50K. "OK, you are still the poorest..." she quipped.
