I finally got a little time to start messing round with the SS this afternoon. I went to install the front license holder I got from the dealer and see no way to reasonably install it.

Have any of you guys installed one of these?
Do I have the correct part?

The bracket has a little hook that is supposed to fit under the lip of the front but does not work for me at all...

The part number (from the plastic bag) and fasteners in an envelope...

You have a different plate holder than I do. I found in my trunk part number P922268693. I can't find this part number in Chevrolet. I do not have a hook in the center, but do have a center slot with two outside slots. I am trying to figure out how to mount a front license plate without drilling.

Mine does not have a hook in the center, it is flat.

Sorry about the identical forum topic... (feel free to combine this with Texas_2014_SS)

I'm heading back to the dealer today to pick up my plates and see about getting a different license bracket. The one I have is certainly not correct.

Contact Crazy Paul, He might be able to get the Aussie Grill were the plate mounts

Note the Number plate recess. Although I am not sure if the part can be ordered but again check with Crazy Paul as he will know.
The Ozzie plate dimension standards are different that those of the US. The US plate wouldn't fit properly in there, and the mounting holes probably differ as well.

Stopped in at Village Chevrolet over lunch to talk with the parts guys about the license plate frame. They have a diagram in their system that shows a different version but no part number and no inventory. They are going to get to the bottom of it and call me back.

What are the general dimensions of front plates in the US? As for the mounting holes. I'm yet to see a dealer here use the ones pre drilled in the recess. SA plates come with upto 4 holes across the top of the plate and the dealers usually tap straight into the plastic, unless it has a pre mounted bracket then they tap into that with self tapping threads.
