What's up guys.
All my life (I'm 29) I've owned foreign cars. One of my best friends bought a 2013 Camaro SS with the 1LE package and it sounds MEAN. With a family and all, Camaro wasn't exactly practical for me but I am THRILLED about this new SS. :thumbsUp:

I was a car mechanic for 6 years in the military and now I'm a pilot but I've always been a car enthusiast. I can't wait to check this car out and own the first AMERICAN MUSCLE car in my life.

I'm in the Las Vegas area so hoping to make connections once this car kicks off.

Yeah man, the 1LE is sick. My buddy got an orange one with the black ZL1 wheels and it's just ridiculous.

Truth is I wish they came in more colors. With only 5 to choose from, I've narrowed it down to white or red. I have owned many silver cars so I'm tired of that. Not really fond of owning a black car in the Las Vegas heat, and mystic green sounds... well, like something I wouldn't drive. Then again, I have to see it in person to make a sound judgment.

I do have a contact in one of the dealerships in town. He keeps me updated as soon as things come up. He knows that once he gets one in, I'll be the first one there ready to buy. How about you? What color will you get?

Clearly this made people mad because if it's made-to-order, why not give us some REAL options to work with, not just a few colors and a sunroof.

As common as Silver is I might get it, runner up will be black even though it's a PITA to take care of.
At the moment I'm not sure if I should buy the 2014 SS, might end up waiting for 2015 models that might have a manual transmission option.

We all do, 5 just isn't enough. To add even more insult to injury, just before the SS and VF Commodore went into production, they announced these cars would be made-to-order. Clearly this made people mad because if it's made-to-order, why not give us some REAL options to work with, not just a few colors and a sunroof.

You're right man. Silver looks nice no matter what. Black has good potential, I'm just the type of guy that likes to see detail and it's hard to really appreciate a car's curves and lines in black. I'd probably wait till 2015 but my 2-door car just ain't cutting it! Plus got kiddo #2 on the way and it's got me going anic: LOL
I've driven manual tranny my whole life and while I love it, I'm sure I'll drive a manual again some day. If you think about cars like the Nissan GT-R, they come automatic so I really don't mind. Plus, the new SS will have plenty of features to keep me entertained

You mentioned that you're now a pilot so I figured your current job would be something you could talk about. Unless you're in area51 or piloting a new aircraft still in testing then I can't imagine what can't be talked about. Drones perhaps?

Yeah the price is there only because it's part of the image. They didn't feel like changing the jpg. But the official MSRP is taken down.
