Hi all,

Used to have a C6 vette, would have bought a G8 had I known about them before I got the C6. Loved it but wanted a roomier car that sits higher.

Last spring picked up a 2013 Stang 5.0. Love that car too, the 5.0 is an impressive beast and it's a fun car.

Recently read about the SS and the local Chevy dealer had one in stock and threw me the keys for a drive, was totally impressed. It was all I could do to not pull the trigger immediately but I am out of garage space and unsure if I'm willing to park a car outside.

Amazingly the thing I like most is that it has the LS3 - which has to be one of the best, if not the best engines ever made.

I'll probably wait for the '15 MY. Hope you all enjoy the cars!

Sorry my post as unclear - I traded the C6 for Silverado 5.3 which I still have.

I'm not in the market for a C7 at this time. Was really temped but after sitting it in, reminds me too much of my C6, with the same limitations (but a darn fine automobile), thus the SS/5.0 is better for me.

I think I'd buy a Dodge Charger R/T before the C7 at this point.

I agree that the 5.0 is a very impressive beast, but add a few mods to the SS and it will give a 5.0 a rough time which I think is pretty **** impressive considering it is a 4000 lb 4 door. LS3 is a sweet engine.

I'm in the same boat, debating between a SS/'15 Mustang GT or GT350(depending on price)

I hope that Ford doesn't price the GT350 like GM just priced the Z/28. $75,000 for a Camaro is absurd. However the Camaro fanboys think it's a helluva deal!

I would get the SS. 4 doors with room and a lot of fun. Also I have not liked the inside of a mustang for years.

The 2015 Mustang interior will be completely different. The 2014 interior is not bad, but certainly blockly/dated.

I'd take a LS3 over the 5.0 any day. Reason being the 5.0 has an interesting tune profile, somedays it feels like a rocket ship and other just a quick car, depending on how aggressive I'm driving and rather or not I'm using premium fuel. It feels like the timing is pulled back unless every little parameter is met, a feeling I never felt with the LS3, as that engine was just badass all the time.

That's the first I had heard that about the 5.0. Not doubting your experience, just had never heard anything about the 5.0 other than how great it is. I'm a Chevy guy at heart so I'm biased towards the LS3 over the 5.0 anyway.

Still here, stopped by another dealer who had a PBM SS with 16 miles, he threw me the keys and said "take her out for a spin".

The GF thinks I'm crazy, but I worked out a way to keep the 5.0 and get the SS too.

Hoping to have one in the garage in a couple of weeks.

Sounds like a plan!
My neighbor let me try out his new 5.0 a while back. Nice ride, except for the tires. He got some new shoes for it though. Lots of grip now:wink:

Agreed - the stock tires aren't anything to brag about, and they're too narrow. I had a 2000 GT that had wider tires, wider tires look better too.

Even with the 5.0 I miss the low end torque of the LS3. Looking forward to getting the best of both worlds!
