I need to get the sills even though I don't need them as my wife seems to prefer to mash the rubber door seal and clean her heels on that getting in!!

i would take it one step further and actually actually use these

you can't go wrong with them and any person whom takes apart their car should have them. i have used these so much i am on my second set.

don't be cheap or stupid people and mar up your car by using a screwdriver or other metal pry tool.
Where would one obtain a set of those? Home Depot? AutoZone? Haven't done any autobody work before, just oil and brake pad changes and whatnot . . . what are they even called? (Cue the Little Mermaid using a "dinglehopper" as a hairbrush....)

Thanks for the dumb noob help!

Holden Lion Stainless Steel Sill Plates

Bought these from CrazyPaul almost two months ago and just got around to installation today. I'm really happy with the results. The trim tools pictured earlier in this thread came in handy, but I didn't use them to pry out the old sills. I utilized the trim tools to carefully lift the sills. It's important to slowly "lift" the sills, and not attempt to pry them out. Let heat soften the adhesive. I didn't use a heat gun, as I let the southwest Florida sun work its magic.

If you're thinking about doing this modification, exercise patience, take your time, and let the heat gun or sun soften the adhesive. The old sills can be slowly lifted away as the adhesive softens and releases.

FYI, the new sill plates have the Holden Lion on the fronts only.

Cheers

Several thanks on this one. 1st I was trying to decide between the Lion and or the SS version...now I am even more confused. What I am most excited about is the 5 piece molding kit. That is like MacGyvers swiss army knife; thanks guys!
Try Karo.
Holdenpartsusa.com I believe.
Have you checked with @Karo at Holden Parts USA ?

Everything plastic including clips stays attached to the car.
Use gentle heat (as per instructions above) to loosen the backing glue between the original metal plate and all plastics below.
The new stainless steel sill plate inserts have no clips on the back of them because you are just replacing one glued metal insert strip with another similar item.

I understand this an old thread post, but can anyone tell me whats the part numbers for #7 and #8 clips are? Thank you!
