Not yet that I know of.has anyone done one of these on an SS yet?
Not really.I'm assuming it was a give up your first born sort of deal for shippingplus a years wages
It flew out Thursday night 20th and is scheduled to arrive before end of day on Monday 24th. They may bump it to Tuesday, but still it's a great service.I should be getting the hitch from CP next week.
Kart weight is no problem.I'm now curious how the Holden Tow Bar will fit and look..If possible please take photos of this process, "cut out" the bumper and install / fitment..(I'm thinking of purchasing a KART so this would work perfect if the weight rating would be acceptable!)...
Should look like this (SV6 but same basic panels)I'm now curious how the Holden Tow Bar will fit and look..If possible please take photos of this process, "cut out" the bumper and install / fitment..(I'm thinking of purchasing a KART so this would work perfect if the weight rating would be acceptable!)...
Thanks.Hey TexSS
Your hitch looks great! I'm considering doing this also. Wanted to ask you a couple of things:
- I presume the alignment issue is due to the weight, etc when actually towing. I can't imagine the hitch bar itself would impact anything?
- Do you have any feedback from the shop about the installation, any gotchas or things to watch out for? I would plan to install this myself - seems straightforward enough. Any tips on cutting the bumper or just follow the directions?
- Looking at it, is there much possibility of water or other debris getting inside the bumper from the hole, and would that be a concern? Does it have a place to drain? I suppose this is how the Holdens come from the factory so I would guess it's not really a concern?
Thanks!
that actually doesn't look too bad at all to be honest. Would you ever get one of those cool hitch covers?Hitch installed. I'll post more pics when I get it back.
