has anyone done one of these on an SS yet?
Not yet that I know of.
Took the pictures above yesterday, today it's all boxed up and on the way to Texas. The Texas SS owner should receive the towbar kit on Tuesday 25th but has a lot of other parts coming also. I believe there's a mid-March deadline to have the towbar kit fully operational on his SS.

I should be getting the hitch from CP next week. Working with DavidCroft on this forum to get it installed. I hope they can take pics as they go and see what if anything is different than the Aussie version.

I'm now curious how the Holden Tow Bar will fit and look..If possible please take photos of this process, "cut out" the bumper and install / fitment..(I'm thinking of purchasing a KART so this would work perfect if the weight rating would be acceptable!)...

Received the parts today. Having DavidCroft install the hitch, blackout kit, sports armor, and tinting on Friday. Will try to take pics.

Had alignment done as it was off when I dropped it off. It was the last thing they did for all the services.

Good thing too. Tech said the rear toe would be off because of the addition of the hitch.

So make sure if you get one for them to check the rear alignment.

Hey TexSS

Your hitch looks great! I'm considering doing this also. Wanted to ask you a couple of things:

- I presume the alignment issue is due to the weight, etc when actually towing. I can't imagine the hitch bar itself would impact anything?

- Do you have any feedback from the shop about the installation, any gotchas or things to watch out for? I would plan to install this myself - seems straightforward enough. Any tips on cutting the bumper or just follow the directions?

- Looking at it, is there much possibility of water or other debris getting inside the bumper from the hole, and would that be a concern? Does it have a place to drain? I suppose this is how the Holdens come from the factory so I would guess it's not really a concern?

Thanks!

Thanks.

The Hitch itself replaces the rear bumper frame.

I didn't install it. DavidCroft at Parkway had his guy do it at their shop. So I can't exactly comment on why the toe got knocked out. But they did say they had to do a rear alignment.

Only thing about the install that I can comment on is cutting the bumper. Cut the smallest hole first and make sure it fits. If not you can always cut the next larger.

I think it drains just fine didn't see any where that water would sit.

DavidCroft might have some more insight.
