Well I arrived at SW at 8:35 am today after 164 Mi. drive, took tour, met owner and crew. Car sounded great at idle with new exhaust including headers and mid pipe along with cats and AR CAI. Blasted out the drive at 9:50,hit Ohio TP, set cruise on 75 mph. Car is super quiet on freeway with just a hint of a mellow tone. Arrived at Livernois MS 184 miles later @12:30PM. Andy and crew got car on the dyno shortly and after 2 hours or so he came up with 394.56hp and 389 Lb.Tq. the car just turned 900 miles before I got there so it may loosen up some. As I said the exhaust is very mellow on freeway and around town but on the dyno and WOT on street it bellows and howls delightfully as Andy can attest. Car drives wonderfull after tune with positive shifting under acceleration but very civil under normal (wife)driving., feels much stronger for sure.Another 202 miles home after leaving Livernois (by the way they have a great facility) @3:00pm I arrived home at 6:25 after 551 miles and three plus hours visiting. Car got a little over 20mpg all day with 75mph all the time, dyno runs, and a few bursts by me. Very pleased with quality of products and service we received today.

Let's get this all straight.

Mods are AirRaid CAI and Full Stainless Works Header and Full Exhaust w/Livernois Dyno tune? Correct?

Post a video of the sound when you get a chance.

Please and Thanks!

I would really like to see what the Roto-Fab intake would have done with setup?

The #s AirRaid claims are ridiculous compared to the Dyno #s - I'm making a spread sheet to show what I mean.

So to be clear, you have the following installed:

"SS14HCATSW" 1-7/8" Headers with High Flow Cats, And 3" Leads to Performance Connect. $1430
AND
"SS14CBHDR" 3" Catback System to Performance Connect. $1080

Is this correct?

Hasnt Livernois dyno'd an SS , thought I saw that somewhere....just found the thread. They baselined an SS at 343 on their dyno and with tune 368. Different car at different time but a decent comparo.

I have seen as low as 330 and as high as 360 rwhp posted from different dynos.

So then throwing these two together gives you roughly....

Gain of approx 53 rwhp from a AirRaid, tune and SW full exhaust with cats. I am guessing around $3800ish installed? Those are very solid numbers . Would love to see the stock vs. mods dyno on same sheet from Livernois.

Wonder how much difference between the factory cat back and the SW catback with everything else as above?

KWBaraka it has full system with AR CAI that was sent to SW free for the car also. Andy did tune at Livernois yesterday the day I picked car up at SW. I hoped for 400 plus HP also. Maybe the RotoFab would have made the difference??

A few years ago I was on LX Forums and they rented a track in Boise ,Idaho and took aHemi car with a groupf guys and 5-6 different Cai kits to the track. Theytried all of them 2-3 runs on same day, same car, same conditions and their report was that their was not enough difference in the group to even talk about. There were differences in apperances and prices but performance differences were nill. I will drive back to Livernois 404 miles RT if Andy will put a RotoFab CAI kit on it and dyno it for free just to settle all of our doubts/questions. It will be over 400 mile trip for me and all day so our costs will even out!! What do you think Andy???

I would love to see results of the SW system matched up with a Roto Fab and Livernois tune.

Either the AirRaid intake is not what they claim OR the SW Full headers and exhaust for our car is not much of a gain AT ALL.

All of the info is right here in this forum.

The SS owned by LIVERNOIS was baseline Dyno'd and Dyno'd after Roto-Fab intake and their tune.

My SS was baseline Dyno'd and Dyno'd after Roto-Fab intake and their tune.

BOTH The SS owned by Livernois and myself Baselined Within several hp of each other showing just a few hp/tq +/- from each other.

After the Roto-Fab intake and Tune Both the Livernois SS and my SS ended within several hp/tq +/- from each other.

The OP's SS did not have a Baseline Dyno in stock form. HOWEVER, All 3 cars were tuned on the same EXACT Dyno and tuned by the same person.

The results from a $2,500 exhaust system in my mind in addition to the CAI/tune should yield more than 10hp/5lbs tq.

My car is 342/345 stock and 385/385 after CAI & tune
Livernois car 348/353 stock and 385.96/389 after CAI & tune
Pigmans car with baseline unknown ended up with 394.56/389 after AirRaid,Headers and full exhaust.

Roto-Fab claims 11hp/5tq with their CAI and no tune.

AirRaid, going by their own post here on the forum claims 21hp/12tq!! For only the addition of their Cone filter and air box with the Factory intake ducting still on the car? This was before they finished their intake. 21hp from slapping on a cone filter and no tune?

Something doesn't add up.

My only concern here is people buying an intake based off of claims that aren't realistic at all in my opinion.

The headers and exhaust, I really wanted to get either this setup or something similar. However $2,500+ for this system just doesn't have the gains that justify it to me any longer. I'll wait and see what a few others develop and decide after.

I was really excited to see the results from PigMans car as I have $$$ burning a hole in my car for mods.

Knowing all three cars were tuned on the same Dyno by the same person and the #s are such a minimal gain raised a Red flag for me to hold up and see what else comes to market.

Sorry for the Novel. I do like the sound of the SW exhaust system.

My interest in hedders is does it cause a lean mixture or check engine lights without a tune. GM frowns on tunes and I need the warranty for wifes SS right now. Oh if any gains at all with just hedders and no tune.
