Thought I'd share the video from this last weekend's event!
The E36 track car was down for....reasons...so I took the SS. Completely unmodified, bone stock, ticked over 10,000mi on the drive down.
This thing is a hoot! Surprisingly nimble through the slaloms, transferred weight well, and the suspension didn't wallow. Very easy to throttle steer, and the tires weren't as horrible as I'd expected. The Track Mode nannies were a nuisance though, so everything very quickly got turned full off.
Very fun car. I'm not sure I'll campaign it seriously but it sure is fun to hoon! Lots of rental car jokes were made, fully tongue in cheek.
