Here's one of the axle back portion just forward off the muffler. No flange connection like the G8. Have to pull the clamp to verify, but it looks like a slide in connection.

Looks like a ball and socket in the pic from the bulging clamp.

Couldn't help notice 'made in mexico' on the rubber hanger!

It would probably work with the NPP, but you may have to manually wire them with a switch for open close ... If the pipes them selves fit, a mild to wild switch would do the trick to control them.

But the Npp mufflers are part of the pipe and not available separately so...

muffler & pipe 6.2 LITER W/O SUPERCHARGER, W/HIGH OUTPUT, W/PERFORMANCE EXHAUST

MSRP Online Price
$1,959.97 $1,223.02

Nope the mild to wild wouldn't work on a conversion because the control setup for the flappers isn't there.

If the mufflers do fit you would need to rig up a physical manual control for them...the NPP uses the computer, throttle position, vacuum and electrics to decide and control when they open and close.

Also I would not mess with the factory axle pipe ball/flange. I would make an adapter that if it could fit connect the Npp mufflers after you cut them off the pipes to the factory axle pipe connection.

Heck if you need more loud and got alot of money just put them on if they fit and leave them open unmuffled which is the flapper valve's default!

Then when you get stopped for disturbing the peace tell the officer to observe the GM factory mufflers on it!

The 2 pipes are connected by the welded hangar.

The 3rd party control boxes won't work if you converted an SS to NPP muffler wise. They plug into a specific fuse terminal in the trunk which controls a switch which controls the vacuum to the flapper motor valves all of which is controlled by engine vacuum, throttle position, RPM and ECU.

There is this for Corvettes only:

Corvette C6 "NPP Exhaust In a Box"-Corvette Multi-Mode Exhaust Vacuum Retrofit S

On the camaro no muffle <1000RPM; Muffled 1000-3000; no muffle >3000; heavy throttle input 1000-3000 no muffle.
