Waxed dental floss

If its like every other GM emblem I've seen in the last decade it just attaches with 3M tape no holes. There was a bit on a Stingray video I saw showing the template they use to align them up.

DENTAL FLOSS WAXED. The old cheap flat tape kind; not the new fancy types. Cuts the foam tape like a knife and the wax keeps the paint safe!

Run the tape as close to the paint as you can given the profile of the spot so you have less junk to remove after you get it off.

Anyone use fishing line to remove rear chev emblem, wife thinks it is to big.

Doug:)
I used fishing line to remove my Pontiac G8 GT on my trunk lid. All the letters came off with ease. I left the Pontiac arrowhead though, but understand that it has no holes under it had I wanted to remove it, so I'm betting that the bowtie doesn't have any holes either.

I agree that the bowtie on the trunk and grill are too big.

There ARE holes behind the Chevrolet badge, SS is fine to remove
he's correct ^^^. the trunk has holes behind the chevy bowtie. i have the holden badge from the VF and it has holes. almost all Holden to GM conversions have holes to center the badge.

below is the link to the front badge and yes part number for it! ;)

but back on topic. i would use fishing string to remove it and then just use WD-40 to remove the extra goo. ;)

The GM Parts Catalog show holes. So I decided to order a rear bowtie emblem just to confirm. When it arrives I'll post for sure, but it looks like they def have holes.

just saw the hair dryer post.

Not so good for the clearcoat. Softens it just like sitting in the sun on a warm day. Heck the clearcoat isn't that hard to begin with!
Yeah...I was confused. Thought it was the visor sticker on inside. That's why I removed it.:chair:

He works at a dealer and will probably just toss it in the parts bin, but it will confirm how the emblem is held in place.
EXACTLY
