Today I put my car on the dyno at LG motor sports in the DFW area. Temp was about 55F with over 80% humidity. I've had the roto-fab CAI and livernois tune for about 2 weeks now. Before you ask I don't have a dyno run before the update so bear with me. Typically LGs dynojet reads a little low compared to what I see at others. For reference they see about 320 whp for A6 L99 camaros and about 350 whp for A6 LS3 vettes. So I figure our cars should be around 330 whp to 335 whp on their setup. I put down a best run of 367 whp and 366 tq. Average of three pulls was 363whp and 361 tq. All in all very good for a CAI and a tune!!! I hope this helps those looking for third party independent testing :).

Hello all, I just added my dyno pulls. Some additional details...

The guys at LG motorsports were gracious enough to email me my dyno runs after I asked them to do so. So I went ahead downloaded and installed the dynojet software (from the dynojet's website) and was able to browse my runs more clearly. This time I adjusted the smoothing to level 5 and correction factor (CF) to STD to resemble more what the guys at livernois do. Interestingly my car got a little stronger from first pull to last... I should have kept going :).

actually mustangs dynos are the ones that run low. however really it does not matter as long as you saw some kind of gain.

Agreed.

In my experience the dynos that read from high to low are dynojet, mustang dyno, dyno dynamics.

Many people call the dyno dynamics the heartbreaker...

300ft lbs by 2300 rpm!! I need a V8!

Yeah, that's what I'm missing with my 380HP 4cy turbo. My 300ft lbs shows up around 4k (but then 380 all the way to 7k).

What are you driving... an STI?

From my own experience the only thing a mustang dyno can be all over the map. Since you ahve to put in values yourself, a wrong value can completely change the dyno run. My personaly Camaro made 372 on a mustang dyno. When i was hired here I asked to run it on the DynoJet. To my dismay, instead of making an easy 400RWHP like I was told by the other dyno shop, it made 342rwhp.

DynoJet is the most consistent, as there is no room for user error.

That's a true statement if I've ever heard one. I'm a fan of the dynamics and then the dynojet. Both are reliable, consistent, and can handle decently high HP.

The dyno dynamics I have used for years frequently sees UGR TTs as the shop does most of the tuning for UGR.

A modified Legacy Spec-B. Basically a more grown up STI without dual AVCS.
He may not be, but I am! :)

Feels quite interesting leaving the dealer after test driving the SS and getting back into the STI... completely different power curve. Both have their plus and minuses. The STI will literally throw you back in your seat from 0-60. The SS felt a little more "meh". However, 60+ was like a rocket ship in the SS and that's where the STI starts to fade.

Gah -- I think I'm going to have to sign those papers for the SS...
