Do not exceed speed warning

So driving home tonight down my main road about 45-50mph when a do not exceed speed warning flashes up on the driver display. It was so fast I barely got a look at it. Then it poped up again about a second later. It was a circle with 18mph and said do not exceed. What is this all about?? Never seen before and then never saw any more during the rest of my driving around tonight.

That's a promising lead. IIRC, the wire harness connected to an position sensor to track the movement of the control arms which is an input for the mag ride system.
