So, in my daily/weekly routine, I get to drive fairly new vehicles on a regular basis--from a dealer to a detail shop, in come cases over 20 miles each way, on Interstate-grade roadways (up to 70 MPH, which I push to 79).
One thing that happens occasionally is that a "speed limit exceeded" warning--both audible and on the DIC--comes up...I have yet to drive an SS on this route, but I do drive quite a few Silverado pickups with this feature. I "assumed" it was part of Navigation/GPS that keeps track of vehicle position and has programmed data that alerts the driver if the posted limit pinpointed by GPS is exceeded by some threshold amount.
Maybe that's not the case....I just happened to go faster than the warning setting....imagine that!!!
