I've tried it with my order number (order placed in July) and it tells me to contact my dealer, or email Chevy for more info. Of course when I do that they tell me they have no details at this time.

The USA is not connected to Au on the local level. The folks at Ren Center are so it is hard to get info. Hope this issue is addressed so they can be tracked even dealer reports are bare minimum.

when dealers cant track them, or cant track them as well as they should you know it's a big problem. they should be on top of this stuff. we are after all paying $50k for this car.

Having the same issue with my SS order. Dealer is clueless, and the Chevy order tracking website is useless. Very frustrating. Very disappointing.

I talked to my dealer too. He told me mine was scheduled to be made the first week of October. I then tried the website, when it didn't work, i tried the customer service email you get in the error message. Got a call from them and they looked up my order number in "the same system the dealer looked up", and they said it was scheduled for this week.

Tried the dealer again today after Commadoreman said another ship left. He still didn't know any new information. Hopefully he'll get back to me with info (although not likely).

Frustrated.

I also asked the dealer about specs for new wheels, for winter tires. He didn't know that either but is suppose to email me. My brother got a grand Cherokee SRT8 last year in November and had a really hard time finding snow tires that fit it. Trying to avoid buying them too late.

When did you order yours? I got the call from Chevy as well, but they said they had no info for me at this time.

Late July/august. I put $ down in March. But the order was placed then. It was with Kool Chevy in Grand Rapids. I know they aren't the biggest camaro/corvette dealer in town so I don't know where it would be allocated

Dealers get a weekly report giving status of orders. They will have codes 2000, 3000 and so forth they will get build week at some point. They just don't get the detail that most want. I went for a. Long time before I got any info from my dealer. I know that some info is not available. 3500 is built stateside 3450 AU is built my car shows shipped but I know it's state side.z51vett

The report is generated on Tuesdays so the best bet is to check with your dealer every Wednesday.

Tpw's

The info is slow first you get that its accepted and so forth target production week is not scheduled at first only later on. This is reason dealers can't give you a tpw. All parts must be ordered and scheduled to come in to build your car just in time is how they operated so no excess inventory of parts is on hand and some components maybe in short supply like spare or sunroof even the nav radio. So this plus only 50 cars a day is the reason for such a long time to get tpw. Dealers place orders once a week so there you have it and CB750 is right.

that website or the 1-800 won't be able to tell you anything as most of you found out.

the only thing the dealers know is all speculation. there is nothing solid or they just make it up to keep you thinking it is coming in.

the best and closest info you can get is from someone direct at corporate GM in Volume Planning and/or in US Order Fulfillment at GM. everything else is speculation.

Dealers do have some info every week just not indepth that everyone is looking for.
I have printed copy from my dealer showing built and one showing shipped. So the info is out there if dealer is willing to share. Access to vins and such no direct access to Au.

The dealers do have info my dealer has given me print outs showing build date and ship date. In all fairness to Maverick his dealer is not giving out info to him.
Dealers get Event Status Codes every Tuesday here is a partial list of codes.
1100-Order placed at dealer
1101-Order accepted by GM
2001 Order generated to dealer
2005 Order replaced with GM Prospec order
2050 Order changed
2500 Order sent to production, preferenced
3000 Order accepted by production control
3100 Order available to sequence (Now tpw becomes more stable
3300 Order selected for production by assembly plant
3400 order broadcast for production
3800 Vehicle produced
4150 Vehicle invoiced to dealer
4200 Vehicle shipped
5000 Vehicle delivered to dealer
6000 Vehicle delivered to customer

Au is a little diff 3450 is produced
Hope this helps everyone sounds like Mavericks dealer doesn't want to share with him any info. And yes the system is not accessible for our customer care friends hope this will change. We had a problem in that diff computer systems could not communicate with other operating systems here in the USA.
Good Luck Maverick

well, we know on stock rims front tires are 245/40/19 and rears are 275/35/19. Rims are not new either, I believe they're 19x8 and 19x9.5.

Any wheels that are advertised to work for the G8 GXP will fit the Chevy SS.

There you go, those are the correct wheel sizes. Have offsets?
