Its funny how the SS is actually more exclusive in some ways than many luxury cars. You might stand out more with the SS than driving a BMW or Benz around a lot of areas.
Hope to be in Orlando in a few weeks or so. Tired of the snow and crap in Atlanta ga.I have to agree totally on Exclusivity, I've had 4 BMW's, SL500, CTS-V Coupe, 6 C6's but never had an encounter as I did this last weekend. I was on the FL. Turnpike heading to Orlando, I was traveling about 85 to 90 (with insurance by Valentine one radar detector) and a guy in a hopped up Jetta comes up next to me and signals me to roll my window down, I did, and he yells over " What is that", I replied "SS", he looked confused, I yelled "from Australia", then he knew what I was talking about.....pretty funny. I then left him with some LS3 Exhaust as I looked back at him in my rear view mirror. Love my SS
What is the reaction like from the Police? Do they recognize the SS yet as a hot car?Its funny how the SS is actually more exclusive in some ways than many luxury cars. You might stand out more with the SS than driving a BMW or Benz around a lot of areas.
Only if you blow by the donut shop!!!!!!!!!!!What is the reaction like from the Police? Do they recognize the SS yet as a hot car?
Day two of my ownership - I was 'waved' at by a local Sheriff in an Impala. I think he thought I was one of them..What is the reaction like from the Police? Do they recognize the SS yet as a hot car?
Yeah, what he said. I worked at a BMW dealer for a short time and found that they are complicated for no good reason. I can't go into specifics here, but beleive me, Lord help ya' when that thing breaks down outside of warranty.Again I will state as clearly as I know how: BMW's are amazingly rewarding cars to drive, but you need it to be under warranty to really enjoy the experience. Otherwise run, don't walk, away until you can afford one with full warranty coverage.
