Interesting but I'm not buying it..... still hopeful the new model year brings parity with the other two performance cars found at Chevrolet.com. Those being the Corvette and Camaro both ironically available with manual transmissions and MRC.But this:
Miscellaneous Ramblings From The Chicago Show.
Chevy SS. So the obvious question. Why no name? Afraid to give it one? No real answer other than if this was a full line car, this would be the "SS" version. If you were hoping for a manual trans - well you can stop it. It ain't happening. No manual trans SS is coming. So, I asked, is there anything to replace this car once Zeta dies? I didn't get a YES, but I definitely did not get a NO. We'll see what happens. According to GM, they'd like to base Chevrolet's performance bonafides on a triad of Corvette, Camaro and a RWD sedan such as the SS. Time will tell.
I never count my chickens until they hatch.
Well, from what others have said, we will know for sure around June when the dealers will start taking orders for the 15's. I HOPE YOU ARE WRONG!!! :signlol:i say still say no manual trans for 15. i'd believe ramblings at the Chicago Auto Show rather then Autoweek sorry. maybe and "IF" the car makes it to an Alpha we'll see a stick. they will sell more auto then sticks period. also look at sales so far, still way under 1000 units sold. i doubt they will make any new additions to this platform. think about why would they? might as well hope for a OE blown LT1 SS.![]()
The car already comes in a stick and supercharged with mrc and torque vectoring..i say still say no manual trans for 15. i'd believe ramblings at the Chicago Auto Show rather then Autoweek sorry. maybe and "IF" the car makes it to an Alpha we'll see a stick. they will sell more auto then sticks period. also look at sales so far, still way under 1000 units sold. i doubt they will make any new additions to this platform. think about why would they? might as well hope for a OE blown LT1 SS.![]()
