actually looks nice, but i'd prefer the orange in the other pics
Thanks, i'm just glad to see a new pic and in a different color. A quick chrome delete and we have a monster (good thing) on our hands. Even with the chrome, it looks good in White. I'm waiting to see a pic in black.

White is one of my favorite colors and im happy to finally see a Chevrolet SS in white :D It looks amazing but I have to agree with the other member that the Chevy SS/VF Commodore does look amazing in orange.

I would have loved to have owned a SS in this color.

I caught this one at Holden's Fisherman's Bend plant the other day.

Black?

For me I think it will come down to either white or black SS. My only problem with white is it's so trendy right now. Almost every other buying person a car these days gets it in white.

I'm assuming the white one is auto, since it's left hand drive and based on the SS?

Would be awesome if we got to see some more clearer pictures of the black Chevy SS, the net on the fence definitely doesn't help, but so far it looks amazing.

Aside from the silver and black Chevy SS sedan's spotted I wonder what other color SS sedan's are lurking around.
Have all the colors for the SS been released yet?

The option sheet posted elsewhere lists five colors available: Red Hot 2; Phantom Black; Silver Ice; Mystic Green; and Heron White.
While Commodore uses other colors, I wouldn't be surprised if GM kept the SS list short. Makes it easier on them. As we've seen, they're really not interested in making it easy on the buyer of this car.

Being a Chevy SS there's no other transmission option for it, they are all auto, you WILL NOT find one in manual, at least not for now, maybe not for a while. People at Chevy need to pull their head out of their ass and realize they missed one of the key things a vehicle like this needs.

The white on the SS gives it a more classier look and cleaner too. I wouldn't mind it but to really suit what the SS is known for Black would be best matched.
Black SS

About time we see something about an aftermarket company jumping on the SS. I think this is also the first Chevy SS we've seen in black, one been a silver and I think white?

Time to do some digging on Harrop Engineering :D

The Chevy SS looks magnificent in black. I think I am set on black as of now and the back up will be in white. The easiest color to maintain by far is silver, looks cleaner than it really is.
looks cleaner than it really is.
That's true with white also!
And black looks awesome........ for a couple hours after you clean it. I think I am done with black (the only color a '94 Impala SS came in....) too much work, had many white cars that ALWAYS looked clean from a few feet away even if they were dirty, but got tired of no "flash" so now appreciate metallic paint.
I like the white
