I tend to switch cars every 3-5 years, it might be too early to tell but how well do you think the Chevrolet SS will hold it's value and what might be it's resale value in the next year? 2 years? 3 years? 4 years? 5 years? etc...
Considering it is a first year model it probably won't hold its value as well as other cars that have been out for a while. The G8s held their value pretty well so I'd say as a model the SS should hold well too.
I've yet to see someone say that a G8 or and SS will increase in value. What I have seen is that the G8 has retained it's value well compared to similar cars of the same model year.
You can dislike that all you want but it doesn't change reality.
Really tough to say but following the trend with GM, I think it's possible we can see the SS holding it's value well, there are a handful of things that will contribute into it having it's price stay high enough that long term owners will be pleased with it's market value.
If it stays rare and desirable it should fair pretty well. Rare and undesirable (recalls, poor quality etc.) it could be in the bargin bin. I'll put my money on rare and desirable.
Lol, how about we actually find out dealer pricing / reviews, etc. before worrying about used market value.
