I sent them a PM about week ago and they got back to me 2 days ago. I was wondering the same thing, if they had stopped being active on here. But they DID reply and were helpful as usual!

I sent a PM early last week with regards to the oil changes and who determines the intervals and have not heard back.

I got word last week that Jackie no longer works at CCC. Kelly and Laura are still there as far as I know. I been emailing each week at [email protected] to check my order status. Laura answered last Tuesday with news that Jackie had left. I'll try again this week and post how it turns out.

Just today got an answer from 'Erica' at CCC about oil change intervals-- who determines. She said that the dealer is the decider and if your car has low miles they would probably do the change once a year for you. So I will do my own first change to freshen it up at about 750-1000 miles.

You the customer decides when you get your complimentary oil changes on your SS. The car comes with 4 no charge oil changes/tire rotate during the 24/24 no charge service period. If the 4 are used up before time period ends the rest are on you. Since the wheels/tires are staggered the factory suggest side to side rotate. At about 5,500 miles I am at 32% oil life so I will have my first one done now.

Proe12,

I would talk to your dealership in more detail about your maintenance. The program overview states:

"2-Year Scheduled Maintenance will be included with the purchase or lease of all 2014 Chevrolet, Buick and GMC vehicles delivered as fleet or retail units. This scheduled maintenance coverage will provide owners select required services, for 2 years or 24,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Customers are limited to four service events during the service period.

Oil change frequency will be based on the Oil Life Monitoring System (OLM) taking into account customer convenience at the time of their 7,500-mile tire rotation interval."

The oil change interval is based on the Oil Life Monitoring System. The dealership is able to have a say to maintain customer vehicles.

Hi Erica, I am a service manager for dealer BAC160020. Have been there since 1987. Attended a warranty seminar last year and since there was so much debate on the subject we were finally told since the purchase included 4 service events during that time period let the customer use them up as they want and when they were used up that would be it. Going by the oil life index would get most people just 3 before the 24/24 whichever comes first expires.

Hello!

I am sorry that it has taken a bit more time than promised to get back with y'all. About the 2 year maintenance program, I did get it sorted out. Since many of you follow a more aggressive maintenance schedule than the OLM, you will have up to four services events within 2 years or 24,000 miles.

If you have any concerns or questions, please let me know!

Thanks, Kelly! Is there someone or something I can refer my dealer to when they claim they can only go by the oil life percentage?

Same question as above- is there anything I can reference to give my service manager? He STILL won't agree to change the oil because they "have" to go by the OLM. I'm going to switch to another dealer, but want to be prepared just in case they aren't willing to do it, either.

All..Just had my oil changed (4750 mi) (38% OLM) as I'm getting ready to go on a week long trip...Service Adviser said I didn't qualify for FREE Oil change?..Since that was the case then I opted for Mobil1 Synthetic option that the dealer puts in all High Performance cars..Should that be automatically be inputted in the system under my VIN # since being a 2014 model? All of this info should pop up on the service request info..

AustralianMuscle and Blue2actual- I would be more than happy to call your dealership and let them know about the aggressive maintenance. I do not have anything that I can provide, sorry! If you would send me a PM with your information including preferred dealer, I will get on that.

Pinetree- You are too nice, thank you! You can tell our supervisor Michael. If you want to PM me I will send you his email address. We love to get kudos around here!

1badss- Will you please send me a PM me with your information including VIN, mileage and dealership? I would like to help out! When are you leaving on your trip? I will look out for your PM.
