Chevelle super sport: Return of the ss musclecar?

First of all these are some of the most hideous things I've ever seen....

Secondly IF they bring back the Chevelle nameplate and jam a 4 pot or 6 cyl in it It will suffer the same fate as the GTO, plus there is a reason the CTS coupe is being replaced...
Thirdly IF an SS coupe does make it into production it would slot into a very funny place in the Chevy performance portfolio. If it comes in at $50k with v8 power or a blown 6 (Chevelle blasphemy
) its positioned right on top of Camaro and Corvette. If your buying a performance coupe for $50k and your options are a fully loaded Camaro SS for ~$40k or hop up to the ZL1/Z28 for ~$54k OR jump into a Corvette at $50k....
An SS coupe, especially an underpowered one would get eaten alive at the SS' current price point by vehicles in Chevy's own stable...
