If you hadn't heard yet, the Holden VF Commodore and the HSV Gen-F are both basically Australian versions of the Chevy SS. That is why it is fun for us to see what amazing things Australian tuning houses are doing with these vehicles.

The most powerful Holden VF Commodore in all of Australia came into being when Walkinshaw Performance added an Eaton supercharger to the already powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine. The supercharger adds a whopping 250 horsepower to the Commodore SS-V for a total of 612 horsepower. Put that same supercharger in the HSV Gen-F's 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine and the power increases from 455 horsepower to 667 horsepower, making it the most powerful Holden available.

The package from Walkinshaw Performance also includes an intercooler, custom cold air intake, high-flow fuel injectors, cast aluminum coil covers, and stainless steel sports exhaust.

Altogether the package comes to $18,990 AUS.

Can't wait to see what American tuning houses do with the Chevy SS.

Check out the video and some pictures below. :)

I was going to go with a White SS but seeing the White and the Mystic Green together has me leaning toward the Mystic Green.

Nice.

Go for the Green. The white is really white, as in bright!! Would look real good in White Diamond Tricoat though.

I am not exactly sure of the conversion rate on Australian dollars but $19,000 for a tuning package is steep. If you are paying that much money you better get amazing results. And it looks like it doesn't disappoint. It's going to be a battle between tuning houses to see who can optimize the SS. And from what i see here, there is a lot of room for growth.
