Motor Trend’s Wide Open Throttle series had the chance to sit down with Chevrolet Camaro Chief Engineer Al Oppenheiser, and he treated the hosts with a slew of behind-the-scenes information on the upcoming 2014 Camaro Z/28. From the last-minute changing of the the original Z/28 idea to what we now know as the ZL1, what led to the LS7 being the engine of choice, and the possibility of the Z/28 being a factory-built race car.
