a starting point and search c5, c6, 120mm, corvette in wheels.
120MM and small hub center bore on SS besides clearances.
Brembo clearance.

I missed 17" NO WAY
I see you bolded Brembo clearance there. Perhaps you misunderstand.

Will they fit the REAR is the question. Last I checked, my SS only has Brembos on the front.

I guess I will find out tonight.

I'm with you on that CB750. Kind of amazing how little searching some are doing before throwing out same question on a new thread.

Complain all you want; NONE of the threads you referenced answer my question:

Will 17x8.5 wheels from a '99 C5 Corvette fit the rear of an SS?

Not for street duty, for track duty.

If you don't know, don't answer.

To get more specific, I know the bolt pattern is slightly off, but it will work. The offset is good. Will it clear the brakes?

Not complaining so much as wondering if you comprehend what you read. The answer is in the thread.

OK, let me try to make it simple for you.

1. they will "fit" (depending on offset/backspace) - but that doesn't make them right

2. the downsides have been addressed by my previous comments

3. an adapter on a drag race setup is just asking for trouble

4. if you decide to proceed with fitting 4.75" pattern wheels on the 120mm SS hub, don't complain or point fingers if something unexpected (or worse) happens--you were notified in advance that it's a sketchy approach to the issue, and you are on your own if you pursue it in this manner.

5. score a pair of GTO 17" wheels if you want to do the right thing--the wheel hub bore may be different, but a hub-centric ring can fix that. You can also get some cheap knock-off BMW wheels in the size and offset needed and use hub-centric rings with them, too.

C6 Z06 replicas on my SS. 17"x9.5" wheels w/275-40-17

Fit fine. Needed a 5mm spacer on my g8 to clear the control arms on the lower rear. the SS seems fine.

Thanks for the help Navy and Liquid.

My take is, yes they will clear the brakes, yes they will fit, no I shouldn't do it, at least not for very long.

I didn't know the GTO wheels would fit. I will work on scoring a set of those.

17"x9.5" wheels.......Fit fine.......
Cool!

1. Who makes them?

2. Assuming that this pertains to the rears and not to the fronts???

Not gonna start a bolt pattern argument with people on here. Just note this:

120.6mm,120mm & 4.75 are all the same. we are talking less than 3/4 of 1mm difference.

Look at how bolt patterns are measured. We are also talking about mass produced wheels and hubs here. If the tolerance was so strict as most people play it out to be, then we would have to put our wheels on/off with a hammer. There is room for play.

Carry on.

And yes, these are for the rear only that the 17" will fit. Company is called OE Wheel out of Florida.

OK, have it your way....just remember hub center bore is not the same (Corvette is larger than SS) , so you might want to get some hub centric rings to provide proper centering of the wheel to hub.

You'll be able to get away with it, but I doubt a GM engineer would support this if the opportunity to ask was presented. Something about the lug nut tapers and how the load isn't going to be equal over the entire surface of the lug or wheel--and we're talking 140 lb/ft of nut/stud clamping force concentrated on a much smaller than intended area while dealing with dynamic loads. The aluminum wheel(s) won't like that, over time.

For the record, 120mm and 120.65mm are NOT the same. (at least when I went to school--not sure about today)
