Most US built cars have month built and an option code list on the car someplace. Build info or drivers door and option codes in glove box or console or even in the trunk what gives no info.

I'm not sure exactly what your referring to but look under the spare tire cover, mine has a label listing the rpo codes stuck to the bottom of that cover. Sort of hard to see, needed my glasses to find it, blended into the color of the cover. :eek:ccasion14:

Thanks had thought of that just to lazy I reckon to look. Still leaves out the door tag with build month and week. So every time we need RPO codes we pull up the cover and in my case carpeted trunk mat.

Well do I have red on my face they are as described my garage is narrow and cannot open drivers door all the way but lo and behold there it was hidden by back door.
One other note now this will help everyone know when there SS was built. My paper work says of line 8/30/2013 but door tag and under hood plate state 8/13/2013 wonder why and was told production began on 8/16/2013. Anybody care to guess, our cars don't show shipped till they reach Japan and change ships. Invoices cannot be printed at dealer till they reach US.

I am only having a wild guess that the build plates may be stamped and fitted to bare body shell before it enters final assembly, as there is a huge storage area where bodies sit and wait to be fed into the system from an overhead area.

Also if you ever need to remove the carpet for some reason a schedule is usually left under the drivers seat, or passenger depending on country :D
I found one in my old Commodore I am working on and had heard about it prior to stripping interior.
