Hey all I am going to post this in here and under the update sticky.

I wanted to clarify the ordering process of the New Chevrolet SS.

The options are limited so have some fun picking out exterior colors on Chevrolet.com. Once you chose your exterior color then you will chose if you want a power sunroof or a full sized spare tire and wheel.

Please take that information with you to your local dealership. I always suggest speaking with them first as that is where you plan to service your SS. If they do not have an allocation (car available) ask them to recommend another dealership that may have one. If you are unable to find a dealership, please let me know. I can help you find one but they may not be near you.

Once you place your order they will give you an order number, unfortunately I cannot track it for you at this time. This is the time that you will wait patiently for your beauty to be delivered to your dealership, just for you.

Please do not forget about the SS’s that are going to be at your dealerships, very soon! Keep in mind, your perfect beauty maybe sitting there waiting for you. Please speak to your local dealerships to see if they have any SS’ coming in or if they can recommend another dealership. This maybe their sister store.

I hope that I have answered some questions. Please remember that this is a very broad explanation as each dealership is independently owned and operated. Please let me know if you have any questions,

you have answered nothing. don't mean to be ugly, but no new info.
I do not take that as ugly, I want to help! What information would you like?

If y'all want specific time frames, I do not have those and they frequently change.

Please let me know what information would be helpful and I will do my best to get it for you.

Kelley,

How many vehicles are currently in the country?

Also, I'm wondering if the dealerships out west are going to receive their full allocation before dealerships further east receive any of their allocation. For example, will a dealership in California get all 5 units it's been allocated before a dealership in Florida gets the single SS it's been allocated?

Just wondering if there is a list of Chevrolet Dealers who definitely have allocations, or can take orders?
I understand if the list is extensive and might suggest that if any member wants to find a close by dealer to them to PM you guys n gals for area specific information perhaps?

Kelly,

After waiting almost two months now, not knowing even an estimate of a build date is very frustrating, considering that even with that, it's ~2-3 months more after it's built.

Hi Whiskuz,

The dealers in California will not get theirs all first leaving Florida behind. They will be distributed evenly throughout the dealerships in the country that have allocations.

I do not have the number of current SS's in the country. I can look into that for you.

Hi Commodoreman,

The best way to go about ordering is to start with your local dealership. I know that most people do not want to do this but it creates a relationship with the dealership you will be getting it serviced at.

I do not specifically have a list in my hands, I will have to do some digging for each individual but I can find the dealerships who have allocations. I do want to make sure that everyone knows that the dealership may not be close to their home. I cannot guarantee that.

Hi Krzemien,

I completely understand that this has been very difficult, I wish I was able to track her for you! When did your order your SS and were you given an order number or any other information? I do not think there is much I can do but I will try to find something out for you.

I am working on getting the information for you today. I have to speak with some internal resources. I am sorry I did not reply to your PM and at least apologize for the wait.

What about AZ. What is a good way to find out where to get a SS? Every time I talk to each dealership they tell me something different. I'm not sure who to believe for what is true or false. I have not ordered one but some of the dealerships said that they have some coming in that aren't spoken for.

Hey Nate,

If you have spoken to a dealership that says they have one coming in then ask them what color and options. If this is something you want then ask to put a deposit down on that SS to hold it. Be sure to get a print out confirmation of your SS. If you want to provide me the name and number of the dealership, I can call them for you. Please remember that each dealership is privately owned and operated. Their process may differ slightly.

Let me know how you would like to proceed,
