Yup. Still haven't figured out what that centerpoint stuff is supposed to do. I did note that the manual mentioned something about preset equalizer settings, but if haven't seen them.

Centerpoint does not enhance audio quality. All this does is pretty much destroy the stereo qualities of the music you are listening to and make the music play out of all the speakers.

I have to agree, music sounds worse with centerpoint turned on. Then again i also think Bose is just plain garbage to begin with. Will be swapping speakers sometime this summer and adding a real sub in the back.

I'm glad this was posted, I had originally turned it on when going through the entire menu setting up the car and the sound went straight to the front center. I thought it was similar to the DSP Talk on my Caddy. Where talk radio like ESPN goes to the front center. I went back and turned it on listening to Pandora, and the sound was better with it on. I do think it depends on what you are listening to.

Also of note, I put the "Tone" on my home page, because like the Bose in the Caddy, this needs to be set for each source. (I had to set each station on the Caddy, not sure about the SS yet). It will default to flat otherwise. I also found over time that DSP -Off was my preference for music in the Caddy, and I'm liking the DSP -Centerpoint "On" in the SS.

Need to keep listening, although while I was out yesterday I turned it off and just listened to that great sound coming from the exhaust, with sunroof open being my preferred listening setting.
