Nice I got mine on the 11/12. What about you. And paid MSRP. Midway is $2500 over.
Picked mine up on the 14th at Auto Nation Chevy at Superstition Springs. Paid MSRP. I was not going to try and haggle em down (though I did work em a bit on my trade) however I was not going to pay over MSRP.

Welcome GOTMYSS. If your dealer says your car was built on 8/30, that car should have been with the very first load of cars!! That load of cars has been spread all over the country by now!! z51vett, one of our moderators, says his car was built on 8/30 and he HAS his car in Georgia!! Something don't sound right. Just my points, that's all. Welcome and come back often.

I have been on my dealers ars all along and he even at one time claimed the ship was diverted to somewhere in New Jersey because of the typhoon. I called BS, but I'm gonna stick it out with him for now. He will have to produce it soon with that build date.

I think your dealer must know my dealer here in the SF bay area and they share the same funny Koolaid!!! All the cars arrive in Benicia, CA. What they are tellin you really has a smell about it. If you have an order number, get ahold of our Chevy Customer Care ladies we have here on this site!!! I am confident they will get to the bottom of your mystery. They are currently working on my mystery as well.

My fleet guy called this morning. Said a GM exec was in the dealership and had him get the real scoop on my White SS. GM told him that my SS is "on the 3rd ship". I really hope it is the Hercules Highway that is on its way to the States! There is still a chance it will be a White Christmas in Phoenix!

Hello from the Gulf Coast of Alabama (******* Riviera) . I picked mine up just before Thanksgiving. My original dealer kept telling me the same thing many of you are hearing. As a former New Car Dealer... I finally threw the 'B.S. Flag'

I found my car in Pensacola and after some minor haggling paid true sticker. 100 miles so far...what a beast. I traded out of a fast Audi, and was worried about performance in the SS. The SS is like a caged lion. And the sound is beyond description. Wish I was still a Chevy Dealer...this is a real car.

Greetings to the Valley o' the Sun owners

Mormon Lake July 2014

Picked mine up from Chapman in Payson on 3/27/14. She was one of 8 or so in the Valley. Bought her sight unseen, no test drive. Price? Please allow a digression.

Chapman seems to be one of those dealer groups that treats "spec" cars differently than customer ordered cars. They install their window tint, clear plastic door edge and handle protectors, etch the glass for "theft protection and recovery", and install an alarm with GPS tracking which must be activated then paid monthly. Right.

I agreed to MSRP (25K cheaper than the Vette I was thinking about) and when the SS shows up from Baseline Chapman it's got those nearly 3K of extras. "No, I didn't order those, nor ask for them. If I ordered the car I would not have had you install any of those. Yes, we need tint in AZ but the place in Show Low does a great job, less money and lifetime warranty." So they deducted their dealer installed options from the price.

Punch line: couple of months later the trunk would open randomly while parked and the horn would honk as soon as the engine off button was pushed. Turns out it was the alarm module installed at Baseline. I asked the service manager point blank, "Why is it even there? That's why there's On Star." He said that in Payson they do not install it on the GM cars but all the Valley Chapman dealers do regardless of the brand. Would be interested in any of your feedback if you dealt with Chapman, sales or service. (The '02 Z28 was bought at Brown & Brown 3k under MSRP)

Sorry for running on. Have fun in the Valley over the summer. Heading up here? for the summer of 15 the Beeline has a major project and one lane north bound. Salt River Canyon really lets the suspension strut their stuff.
