I know there were a number of people here serious about getting an SS that I believe got in contact with their local dealer(s) to go about getting one.

The dealers have their allocations. Orders will be submitted around the first of August.

The cars will go through some sort of special quality control inspection after they reach the US and before they reach the dealers.

My estimate is around October at the dealers.

I had gotten an email response from Chevolet customer service last month, and it said that the anticipated first deliveries should be this September.

I wonder when the Auto Magazines/TV-Shows will be getting their SS to test.

Just ordered my SS from a local dealer here in SOCAL. He said they would accept production orders around the first of August, with delivery expected in 90 days. Lets wait and see if they come in before Thanksgiving.

Nice work and welcome. What colour did you order? and did you option the sunroof?
I haven't seen any Chevrolet SS on transporters yet but am seeing Caprice PPV's in the production yards along with all the Commodore and HSV variants.

No pricing yet except Chevy announcement of MSRP $44,470. We'll have to see what the final price is, and if there's a gas guzzler Tax. Color I ordered is Red Hot 2, no roof, and no extra charge spare. All features offered are in the standard list of equipment. Dealer isn't asking for a deposit either. Great for me. He trusts that I am a real and true SS buyer.

What color are you planning to get it in? Sunroof or no Sunroof?

Put a deposit on mine on June 30. Silver, no sunroof, full size spare. I was told to expect to pay sticker price, cool, no mark-up. My dealer does not mark up the '14 vettes either due to special order. I was told by e-mail yesterday that I just might have an order ID number of some sort next week or two!!!! Can't wait!!! My dealer is about 30 miles from the port of entry, Oakland, CA. I want to find out when the ship is coming in so I can go to the port and watch the unloading!!! I can't beleive I am this excited over all this, but at my age (65) time is gettin' short. I also drive an EFI stack injected 427 tube frame '65 Chevelle with a Lenco 4-speed ON THE STREET!! Used to run 150 mph at nine flat in the quarter. And a '68 427 4-speed Corvette. I just can't go fast enough. Hurry up, hurry up.

TT C6, Dealer Internet Manager said no markup. Will be sold at MSRP. I'll use dealer financing if they can get me a good rate based on my great credit rating. I'll probably trade in the G8 if they can give me a decent price and pay off the current loan. Still owe $12K. Also my bank is giving great new car loans, so that's a possibility. Color will be Red Hot 2. Have big chunk of cash to put down also.

We just bought a new 2013 Malibu for my wife. With good credit and a good trade and cash we got 2.49% through the dealer for anywhere from 24 to 72 months. And like Bob Covello said, a very large chunk of cash will be put on the SS to lessen the payments. Now I got to see if I can remember where I buried the #9 can in the yard !!
