Please PM me if anyone has or is in the process of leasing their SS. Dealers says the finance company can't determine price because it's so new.
Makes sense. They can't put a residual value on it. No history/nothing to compare it to. I'm feeling that if you get a lease quote it's going to be expensive since they will give it a real low residual to be safe. There is nothing worse for a finance company than to be upsidedown when they get the car back!

Leases are starting to become available, a few Credit Unions are doing them and I found a leasing company in TX, guy is basically a broker. Good money factor though on Tier 1 and he will deliver to South Florida.

Hey look at your mirrors are they the same color as SS ie metallic black.
Not unless he had them painted. This is one of my pet peeves about the car. Why wouldn't you paint the mirrors to match the body paint? On the other colors they match, but not the black. You almost can't tell, unless you're standing there looking at it though.
I plan on going the Audi S4 route and put on the chrome one's that people were putting on the G8's.

Why lease the cost of borrowing is so cheap 2.75 per cent for 72 months. I don't know how a lease can be good they beat you up when you turn it in.

My credit union is going as low as 1.65% up to 72 months. To purchase.

Being "too new" is bunk. I got my G8 in May of 2008 on lease. And they were brand new to the US...

Leasing

The availability of lease financing tightened up quite a bit with all of the financial craziness 5 years ago. Most leasing companies go by the American Leasing Guide to establish the residual values and until the ALG publishes those, they have nothing to peg the number to. Probably a smaller more independent (dealer owned) leasing company might be willing to roll the dice, but the bigger ones probably won't until there is a little bit of a history.:(

With the G8 I suspect GM was still able to cram it through GMAC with the thinking that residuals would be similar to a Grand Prix...just guessing on that.
