Must be a western NC thing. Some G8s from the Greensboro area came the same way.

Dealer had installed them on my car, I had them remove it before purchase.

Some dealers simply like to find ways to jack your price up without your consent. Strip them stripes off that car! Clean lines deserve an unfettered look.... just my humble opinion though... if you like them "no harm no foul"...

Don't worry what others think, it's your car and all that matters is what you think.
Agreed and thanks. I do like them and will keep them. I just find it very funny that no one else seems to. Maybe it's a girl thing. And, I'm very used to going against the grain, so no worries.

I'm with SlingShot -- your car= your choice. Don't want them on my 'status 3300 - HW, no hole in the Roof, no spare' if it EVER gets to Texas, but that's just me. And they are correct: some dealers like to jazz 'em up so they can say "But, it's a special car!"
Enjoy it the way you like it

If your Dealer did that, you better check to see if they installed static strips, curb feelers, or worst of all, a Continental Kit!

Pinstripes are almost an obsolete concept.:)

Are you saying that the Continental kit, padded vinyl Landau top with opera windows and the tri - plane rear spoiler I put on mine are not going to get a warm reception?

Gee, golly gosh, now I gotta take all that stuff off!

Well at least I decided to hold off on the 6" diameter chrome exhaust tips and the clips with pad locks on the hood!

I was about to put a vinyl roof, gold wire spoke hubcaps and whitewalls on mine and swap the bowtie for a Mercury ornament to emulate a late 80's Cougar.

You guys are all a bunch of party poopers.

Speaking of which, does crazy Paul have a fake spare tire ornamental thingy to attach to the rear of the car?
