Interesting take. I know I'm biased and all but it's funny he mentioned the SRT-8's were better in styling, accessories and go power but failed to mention they can't corner, have crappier gas mileage, more expensive, and have a 5 spd transmission.

That's probably one of the most truthful/honest reviews I've read. It still bothers me when they chime in on the 6L80 after driving it for a week in learn mode. It was sluggish at first, 4000 miles in now, shifts are lightning fast!

Can you talk more on the "learn" mode for the transmission? I also have experienced the delay, and I wasn't aware of that.

On the styling from the review, that's one of the reasons I went for the SS over the competition. I also preferred the less gripping seats for everyday comfort and ease of getting in and out.

Almost $10,000 discount coompared to 2006 CTS-V? Will it run a 8:20 'ring time?

Motor Trend and Pobst says it smokes the SRT on the track.
The answer is, yes most definately will run under 8:20 around the Nurburgring. It may even run it very comfortably as well, since the Ute (with all its disadvantages) can already run an 8:19.47 , and the previous 2000 HSV GTS with less horsepower was also thought to be capable of bettering an 8:20 time.

Personally, I don't need ANOTHER review albeit late at that. At this point
What is it that the "reviewers" can say to impress me? furthermore,
There is absolutely NOTHING they can say/write to change my mind
About my purchase. I love my SS so, Call it whatever you want, compare it to whatever you want, You can Even be upset that Chevy named it "just" SS. I really don't care because I KNOW how satisfied I am with my SS but, I will say this.... if these reviews stop/persuade ANY would be SS owner from seriously considering the SS, I would highly recommend that you do yourself a favor and JUST GO TEST DRIVE THE SS FOR YOURSELF!!!
