Check out our new Cold Air Intake for the SS! We'll have two different versions; the one that is available now is a replacement intake box, and we will be releasing one in the next couple of weeks that includes a new intake tube as well. Please let us know what you think!

Our SS:

More details:
The 2014 Chevy SS is a potent performance sedan with its 6.2L V8 engine, which pumps out 415 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque right out of the box. But performance enthusiasts know there's always more power under the hood, and AIRAID once again delivers the goods with a Cold Air Dam Intake System that unlocks an additional dyno-proven 21 horsepower and 12 lb-ft of torque with a simple bolt-on installation and no additional tuning required.

The AIRAID Intake System for the 2014 SS replaces the restrictive factory intake box with aluminum Cold Air Dam panels that keep the new performance air filter isolated from hot engine compartment air while providing the engine with plenty of cold outside air.

Blade style weatherstripping seals the panels against the underside of the hood, which further keeps away hot air. The panels provide additional room for an oversize AIRAID performance filter that is available in traditional oiled media, or SynthaMax dry media that is colorfast-dyed in red, blue, or black.

The Cold Air Dam system connects at the factory meter with a unique velocity stack, which helps further optimize airflow to the engine. Because the AIRAID system is modular, it is compatible with most aftermarket supercharger kits, which can make a substantial horsepower improvement with other aftermarket upgrades.

Is the dyno results with or without the "new intake tube"?

Looks good!
I want to know where to get some of that rubber weatherstripping on the top edge.

That is without the new intake tube. We're actually doing a final check-fit of the intake tube as we speak and then we'll strap the car to the dyno again!
Does this design means that is as quiet as the stock air box? Could you please comment on cabin noise levels differences between this and the new intake tube? I take that with the new intake tube will make a little more power but it will be more noisy in the cabin? Thanks in advance!

Since at this time we are using the factory inlet tube the cabin noise will increase only slightly.

Thank you for the answer! It is getting very tempting. I for one prefer the cabin noise not to increase much.

Another newbie question, do you expect the "dry" filter to perform just as good or very close to the "oiled" filter. I would like the "dry" one for the admittedly unfounded concern of oil in MAF sensor. What is the filtering performance (micron size) difference between oiled and dry? Sorry for all the questions, tried to find the info on your website... Thanks in advance!

****Update****

Spoke to soon! I was able to find the info here after all:

http://www.airaidsales.com/article-synthaflow-and-synthamax-explained.aspx

So it looks that the oiled version should have a performance advantage over the dry one as it flows a bit more air even when dirty.
