Just a humble request for everyone.
Please send out an email to the membership list when you get 2014 SS Sedan pricing.

I am frequently on Autoblog other industy sites.
So, I will start a thread on SSforums when it's official.
(If it's not already posted here.)


I'm spending too much time on a great site for a car that it appears that I will not be buying, especially not until it get's at least a stickshift transmission.

This is a great site and I wish it, and the SS Sedan community, the best.

Well this thread is interesting.

So TT_C6's return will depend on pricing, cool lol.

I'm not all that disappointed with the 2014 Chevy SS but pricing announcement is definitely something to look forward to

hahah this is golden.

i have a good feeling this chevy ss image will be used quite a bit on this forum.
Listen, if they price this thing at a Camaro 2SS level, and then offer similar discounts, then the SS Sedan makes sense if you want an automatic.
If I could but a stickshift SS Sedan for comparable prices to a Camaro, I would because it's a low profile car with a proven drivetrain that is simple and easy to maintain.

The LS3 and the 6L80 are great, but they are basically truck parts and we all know the SS Sedan is based on an old, mass produced chassis.
So, GM has to price the SS Sedan accordingly.

Right. Just so everyone is clear on this: Pretty much any derivative of the root word "ass" will, by definition, have two "s"' in it.

The Avatar is too small. Make it your sig and get rid of that goofy rant.

My signature is the whole reason I am on this site.

Give me a manual and a decent dealer invoice and I will buy.

Wait a couple of years and you can probably have both a manual and "invoice pricing" on the car just like everyone else who doesn't mind waiting.

Get it through your thick head...the SS Sedan is NOT a 4 door Camaro for the last time. Just because the engines are the same does not make them the same car. So for the love of all things holy please stop comparing them as if they were. ****, the previous gen Vette (as in NOT the new Stingray) had this motor...does that also make the SS Sedan a 4 door Vette?

Four door Camaro. Four door Corvette. Revamped G8 GXP. New LHD Commodore SSV... Whatever frame of reference it takes to get one's head around it, I guess. But in the end it is what it is. The truth is nobody has ever driven the 2014 Chevy SS. The car won't even exist until sometime in June when production is expected to begin in Elizabeth. Until you can take one out and toss one around for yourself, who gives a crap what someone else thinks it is or isn't most like?

We don't need to drive the freaking car.
The SS is identical to a G8 GXP automatic.

The SS Sedan didn't even get a new suspension.
If it did, it would have at least received the MSRC shocks like the Camaro ZL1.
