I have seen a lot of advanced safety features that will be on the Chevy SS. Has anyone heard whether or not the SS will have adaptive cruise control? Looking at the grille it is tough to tell if it would be possible. For $44k I sure hope it includes it...

It is not going to have it. Here is a link to all of the standard features and of course the only options are full size spare tire and sunroof. For what it's worth adaptive cruise is nice for congested travel, but it can kind of get in the way on open road travel. Just my opinion of course. Not a deal breaker for me. Also, for 44k this car is a steal...to get this much horsepower and this many creature comfort options you are 60k plus all day long anywhere else.

The adaptive cruise is a possibility with an update as it uses the windscreen mounted camera/sensor utilised for the collision alert function.

Holden went for the self park function most likely as it is available across the entire range from base/entry Evoke through to the HSV GTS variant which makes it a standard feature of the Chevrolet SS.
I believe it will be the first US model to have this feature including beating Cadillac to it. Haven't looked at the CTS spec sheet but have not heard it mentioned anywhere.

At least features from Cadillac are starting to trickle down to Chevy, can't wait for Alpha platform Chevy's as they might get even more Cadillac-like things.

Although it would make sense for any car in that price range to include a feature like the adaptive control but I have a strong feeling it will be a separate option that you have to purchase. Even for the SS.
