My Holden parts from Crazy Paul showed up today, I wasted no time to get them installed. Now I'll be driving my car much more, I held off on driving it until the conversion was complete. I also changed out my HID bulbs for 5000k and raised the headlight aim slightly to improve visibility. This was pretty common on GTOs.

The pictures aren't the greatest since it's dark outside and the car is covered in condensation. I didn't get any 50/50 shots of the new low beams, but these bulbs are a nice pure white versus the slightly yellow stockers. Now I just need to wire the LED running lights to be on all the time and await Mav Man's LED fogs. I also never posted about it, but I had my windows tinted - 20% all around plus 70% windshield.

Did you do the grill yourself or did you have it done?
Did it myself, it's extremely straight forward if you are mechanically inclined. Just a bunch of torx screws and clips really.

There are two plastic clips on the bottom of the bumper that clip into the undertray.

There are multiple T15 torx screws along the bottom of the bumper. Be vigilant because some of them are to hold on the trim to the bumper which don't need to be removed.

There are six 10mm bolts on the top under the hood. There are also six more T15 torx screws in that same area. Also once you remove the upper trim piece there are two hidden trim rivets that need to be removed as well.

The wheels also have to be removed since there are several T15 torx screws and trim rivets that hold the fender liner onto the bumper. Once those are all out just pull out the fender liner.

There are clips where the bumper meets the fender and also around the headlight/grille interface. Just carefully pull the bumper and they will come out.

5ks look good. I need to stop being lazy and put mine in.
I slightly wish I went with 6000k since I always like that temperature due to the bluish tint; however the pure white from 5000k will match the running lights better.

In my opinion you have to remove the bumper and headlights to change the bulbs. My brother and I tried to change it from inside the fender with the wheel off and it's just a really tight squeeze. There are two screws that hold the metal housing onto the bulb that need to be removed along with the bulb harness.

Headlight removal was straight forward itself, just do some looking around and you'll find all the fasteners. The driver side does have a few hidden bolts behind plastic trim that needs to be removed.

Hmm. I figured it wouldn't be too bad with the front wheels off. I pulled the driver side bulb with tire on just to find out what kind of build it was and it took a mirror, a magnet, and a second set of hands to them stupid screws started.

This would be the perfect info for the how-to-forum. I love the photo with the SS on the jack!
I would have done a how-to with pictures, but during this time of year daylight is limited and I didn't want to run too late into the darkness. Especially since the mosquitoes are already out.

Yeah it can be done, but it'll be a huge PITA since it's a tight space to work in. If you are doing a Holden conversion and have your front bumper off it'll be easier to just take off the headlights and change the bulbs that way. If you aren't taking off your bumper then just go ahead and do it from behind since taking off the bumper/lights is a lot of extra effort.

Funny how I missed this thread even after I posted on it:dizzy::dizzy:
Your ride looks sharp:10:

Now it's time to change the exhaust tips:

I had a full detail, tips and tint at 35% last week.
They were able to remove the spider web look out of the PBM finish. Looks like a black mirror!
I've owned three black cars in my life and this was the first time I've had one detailed. Guess I must like this one best!
