Does anyone know when you can start ordering the 2015's? When were you guys able to start ordering the 2014's? I'm still hoping for a M6 ;)
The dates for the 2014's really don't matter being an intro year.

2015 is up to GM no guesses here these don't follow standard GM fare. You do have quite a wait I think and I wouldn't bet the farm on a M6.

So if most new model years come out in the end of summer/early fall would you think they would have the ordering open for the 2015s around the July timeframe? When were you guys that order 2014s allowed to start ordering this past year?

The factory stopped accepting orders for MY 2014 on Dec. 12 or 13, 2013.
But are they going to fulfill any orders they get? Say 4000 people order 2015s, are they going to build that many? I heard something about them being a limited run with only about 3000 builds a year.

I'm just wondering, not worried about being able to get one. There are six within a 20 mile radius of me at the moment.

I think it partially comes down to dealer allocations and if you either take what the dealer has specifically ordered or if your dealer allows you to choose the colour and options from their un ordered allocation.

I am hearing the figure could be as high as 5k a year but ultimately that depends on orders. but expext 3k minimum per year to reach your shores

only if they sell a **** of a lot more volts unfortunately, USA CAFE rules are the stopper.

The info I've read in Aus is that if too many people buy/order them they will put up the price to regulate the amount of cars sold.

And... if 250 plus cars get sold a month that's about on the money with the numbers they want to sell, no reason to bring over the Manual transmission.

That would be a bad idea, the price is part of what makes the car what it is. You're getting a lot for your money here with the SS. Comparable cars, performance wise, are about $10K higher on average. (Audi S4, BMW M3, etc)

Not too worried about a manual trans, I've done enough shifting. Totally ok with the auto.

2013 was 418. So that's 450. We all may have collector cars already! I ordered one Sept. 10, 2013. When the dealer per-ordered ones came in on Dec 10. I bought it instead. Now I just found out my original order now is showing in transit to the dealer. By the time it arrives that's 6 MONTHS wait.
