When do you guys think Chevy will release the options that will be available on the 2015 Chevy SS? June/July 2015?

I'm holding out for a manual transmission option for the SS. Currently own a G8 GT, but I want to do my own shifting again. Additionally, the color options are pretty limited and it would be great if the orange that is available on the Holden were made available to the US.

In the meantime, I need to stay away from the dealerships or I might breakdown and purchase an SS with the automatic. I took a look at a phantom black SS a few days ago and it was an amazing car. Really hard to walk out of there!

I'm confident the MT and mag ride will be options on the 2015.

How about May of 2014 or June for order info Commodoreman may know when 15 production will begin. The dealers usually get a small lead time before orders can be placed. There will be rumors all over the place before then. My 2014 SS was ordered in June I was called right before than to get final color choice and option sunroof spare tire was not offered at the time. But I saw a production schedule all the way thru Dec 2014 for the 2014 SS.

I seriously doubt the SS will ever come with Mag ride. Maybe someone from Aus could answer this, but isnt MRC something that is installed at HSV and not the Holden Factory?
MRC is part of the ZL1 base package and the ZL1 is considered a Chevrolet Performance Car. Why wouldn't Chevrolet make MRC an option on the Performance Car known as SS? Electrical architecture is largely the same and I'm sure a $1695 option price has a lot of margin built in.... just looking to understand your logic on why MRC wouldn't be available on the SS.

The mag ride would require new harness as well as programing to computer and a new knob to control them. The zl1 has a ptm also so that needs to be address wiring controls and such. Cost of a mag ride shock over the parts counter is 1000.00 ea. so it's bargain installed on the car from the factory. People are already complaining about the cost 47170.00 loaded so how do you think they would react to another 1700 to cost of car.

If I could put together a 2015 with M6 and Mag Ride for under $50 grand I'm on it. I hate to admit buying a 2014 Taurus SHO a few months ago but was without a car and unfortunately I live in Michigan meaning I have to have an AWD car much of the winter. That said the Taurus was a tic below $48,000 and didn't have the Performance Package which is another $1995 option. This Taurus doesn't compare to the SS in terms of performance, styling, and fuel economy. I typically achieved 17.9 mpg with my M6 GXP's and rarely see 17.0 with the SHO and really don't drive it hard at all.

So a long way of saying the $50K MSRP with M6 and MRC wouldn't bother me a bit...

If I knew I could get a '15 SS in Fantale Orange or Karma Blue, I'd wait and get a '15.

I saw my first SS tonight, a black one. The Chevy dealer near my office called when their first delivery arrived today. Someone had a deposit down on the car and was coming tomorrow to get the car, so I only got to see and sit in the car. Its everything I expected it to be...I've been thinking about it every since I left the dealer....planning on ordering one in the spring. Even more excited now!

You are probably right in saying it may never come with MRC, However in saying that it would theoretically be possible to install at the Factory. Considering the SS sits on the exact same suspension set up as the SSV Redline. It could utilise for example the HSV Senator setup or even the GTS Setup.
HSV could supply the MRC controller and settings for the SS.
But yes you are right in saying that MRC and all the Hardware is added at HSV's Clayton facility.

Many thanks. Ordered my SIM SS today and don't want it built until after the shutdown.

Between my son and I we've owned 5 G8's (3 GXP's all M6) and 2 GTO's both M6. Looking forward to getting started on the Chevy version of this great car. I plan to own at least two of them.
