Well according to the VIN cards here:

http://service.gm.com/dealerworld/vincards/pdf/vincard15 Car 01-31-14 r.1.1.pdf

...when you go down to CTS you will see:

Book D (coupe)
CTS-V coupe

... and when you go to engines you will see the LSA!!!

Note that no other versions are listed just the V-Coupe

Compare to 2014 where wagons and sedans were listed V and non-V variants too...

SO THE OLD BODY V-COUPE ONLY WILL CONTINUE ON FOR 2015!!!

THE OLD BODY SEDAN AND WAGON ARE HISTORY!!!

for us who scope this out you will remember last year when VIN Cards were posted and removed instantaneously after unreleased 'future' product information was plastered all over the web by the press and forums.

That pdf also shows the only engine code for the 2015 SS to be the LS3.
Yes, but how about the tranny?

Just looked; only one model listed whereas every other model with a manual and auto are listed separately.

Hey, at least they plan on building '15 models by the looks of it.

VIN for SS does not have a code differentiation to define transmission, likely means no change/no choice.
They don't call out auto/manual on the Buick Regals and they still have the option. I wouldn't take the absence of it being called out in the vin card to mean it's not going to happen.

I am sure GM masks any future announcements from the vin card, not that a slip isn't possible. Going by 2014 I bet they update it quarterly.

Not sure i saw anything to indicate an ATS-V is coming either. That twin turbo V6 would be nice.

It all makes sense. History repeats itself with GM. The late B-body platform, Impala SS, went away for good when Arlington switched-over. The SS will be gone as Holden closes in 2016-ish. The big obvious fact is this: "IF you want to buy a new GM V8 rear wheel drive sedan, this will be your last chance..." Everything is changing / evolving to the combined European-Japanese versions of what defines a "performance sedan." The market has gone this direction and GM must adapt. I'm not saying the next generation of GM will lack performance or style, but they will be smaller, lighter, and looking to forced induction 4/6 cylinders for their power. Big V8's are gone. I won't even get into the discussion that most of those new GM cars will be made in - - - China...
