I doubt it the Z06 is the only vett getting the 8 speed. According to the engineers they don't have enough time to sort out the calibrations and such.

New tranny from GM same size as 6 speed weighs less I believe also.

That's just too much shifting for a performance application with a V8 that has a wide powerband. Leave the 8 and 10 speeds to economy cars to keep the revs down and turbo cars to keep the boost up, not to mention mountain bikes lol.

8L90 was just announced for the 2015 Vette. Not sure they'll have it figured out for the SS though as it's still only been seen in rear applications so far.

I'm fine with the 6 speed honestly.

And as far as LT1 is concerned; NOPE. I've had my fair share of direct injection tuning with the Mazdaspeed3 and I don't think most realize how much DI sucks for aftermarket tuning. I'll take the LS3 and easy power.

No to the 8 speed but possibly expect some minor cosmetic updates to the front clip (maybe headlights too) is what i'm hearing.
Still no sign of manual pilot buils but I don't psh too hard on that at the moment.

That is the problem and the injectors you will need top tier gas and hitest to keep that to a minimum as well as good oil like mobil one.

Sounds like the same approach they took with the Camaro. New in 2010, color changes and maybe one or two slight changes for 2011.

It was on this forum. There was a Link to the 2015 GM lineup with all models and their optional powerplants. The LS3 is confirmed for '15 and there's no way an 8speed is going behind it.
