John Fitzpatrick, marketing manager for Chevrolet performance cars, gives an official walkaround of the 2014 Chevrolet SS. The 2014 Chevrolet SS features a 6.2L V-8 engine with 415 horsepower, the MyLink entertainment system with navigation, a beautiful ebony interior and a heads-up display system. The Chevrolet SS is also the only Chevrolet model to feature a rear-park assist system that aids in parallel parking.

Only 1 option.

I assume this is because GM set a price they "needed" to get for the SS in the USA and added included content (options) in an effort to justify the price. Especially since the Chevy PPV has a MSRP of $32k.

a fully loaded car has the highest profit margin so they can cut into it to reach an acceptable us market price, the base models are too expensive for the us market for what they offer.

Good point, the SS being fully loaded with only a couple options, sun roof and colors, it will turn out to be like that. hopefully with the SS being like this it will result in a cheaper vehicle due to a less complicated process.
