Chevrolet Teases 2014 Camaro SS
2013-03-20

DETROIT – The redesigned 2014 Camaro SS will debut at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday, March 27 at 12:45 p.m., EDT.

The 2014 model represents the most significant change for the fifth-generation Camaro, which has been the most popular sports car in America for three consecutive years. The new Camaro will be joined by the all-new Corvette Stingray and Chevrolet SS performance sedan, completing the line of new performance vehicles Chevrolet will offer for 2014.

Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world's largest car brands, doing business in more than 140 countries and selling more than 4.5 million cars and trucks a year. Chevrolet provides customers with fuel-efficient vehicles that feature spirited performance, expressive design, and high quality. More information on Chevrolet models can be found at 2013 Chevy Cars, Trucks, SUVs, Crossovers and Vans | Chevrolet.

Let's hope GM MAJORLY improves the interior.

The ridiculously FAT curb weight and HORRIBLE interior is the only reason I don't won one right now.
If this thing get's a decent interior, and the SS Sedan is priced much higher, the Camaro starts looking like a viable alternative, especially with a TR6060.

Just curious but what about the 2012/2013 Camaro Interior do you not like?

I like Ed Welburn. He's been gracious, a total gentleman, and a true "car guy" every time I've spoken to him.

With that said, in addition to the HORRIBLE visibility and lack of interior room, I hate everything about that interior, other than the steering wheel.

Haha I agree. They failed at designing a nice interior. Even Lexus did a much better job on their new interior on the new Lexus IS...

I think if that Lexus IS interior got "Americanized" it could very well be thrown in the Camaro and look amazing.

What interior do you like? Since we all have different opinions on what is nice and whats not.

For a 2014 SS Sedan or 2014 Camaro 2SS, I think this is a starting point:

Old E55 interior:

This should be the goal:

If GM can do this as the base model C7 interior below, they should be able to do something similar iin the SS Sedan and 2014 Camaro:

Here is a pic of the 2014 Impala dash. Its obvious that the quality of the interiors in GM cars is going up. They still have a long way to go in many respects but they are improving. The interior of the Camaro should hopefully be more like this.

The interior in the Camaro SS did not inspire people the way the exterior did. Keep the steering wheel dump the rest and start from scratch as far as I am concerned

Sorry for the lousy picture quality, I never claimed to be a photographer. Lol.

That's actually the 2013 Malibu interior. Here's the 2014 Impala's:

You're right. I clicked on the wrong thumbnail when I uploaded that pic. Thanks for the fix.

This is a better point that I wanted to make actually. Compairing the Malibu to the Impala you can see how much better the Impala really is.
