take a look at the interior of the new 2014 Chevy SS
Same here man. When I first saw window controls located at the center console of a car (german car) it seemed awkward but now I love it. Much better than having them by the door panel.Interior looks sweet. Kinda bummed they moved the window buttons back onto the door. I liked 'em on the center counsel.
All that stuff is cool but you have to think about the state the car is at before things like that are done. If it's something that truly is a "four-door corvette" that can be put up against some of the high performing sedans from Japanese, German, British, etc car makers....then YES we do need alternator, transmission, oil temperature, battery voltage, etc. But at the moment the Chevrolet SS doesn't deserve it.I wish they would add more stuff in cluster, like oil pressure, Alt, Tranny temp, oil temp, etc! Other than that, awesome! I think interior looks better than G8, expect I like G8 GXP cluster with said "GXP"
That wouldnt be a bad idea to have those gauges especially when you have a few modifications done you can keep a close eye at how things are running. gauges are actually a good way to prevent you from going overboard before it gets too serious. I like the Dspec inspired steering wheel and the infotainment system is in the right spot unlike some other dashes like the bmw and audi. I hate the way those are set up. Too **** complicated too. unless you can convince me otherwise.I wish they would add more stuff in cluster, like oil pressure, Alt, Tranny temp, oil temp, etc! Other than that, awesome! good point, heads up display was one of the major highlights of the interior, it would be awesome if we got to see that.I haven't seen that video compilation before, too bad they didn't feature the HUD as part of the interior shots, alebit it's probably difficult to get in focus with a lens.

I also wanted to see the HUD. I haven't found info on it yet, but I'm secretly hoping it gets the same HUD that is in the C7 corvette.I haven't seen that video compilation before, too bad they didn't feature the HUD as part of the interior shots, alebit it's probably difficult to get in focus with a lens.
I'm willing to bet someone at somepoint will remove or modify there Chevy MyLink Computer and turn that into a Car PC, just have that display showing all that data you mention without have to unduly modify the interior with purposely, but excessive gauges everywhereI wish they would add more stuff in cluster, like oil pressure, Alt, Tranny temp, oil temp, etc! CarPC is the way to go. Do you have any CarPC experience? Was always interested in this system but never got around to it.I'm willing to bet someone at somepoint will remove or modify there Chevy MyLink Computer and turn that into a Car PC, just have that display showing all that data you mention without have to unduly modify the interior with purposely, but excessive gauges everywhere
Very true, an Android phone could probably do all the important things we would need from a CarPC, plus there's APPs that can come in handy.I mirror the display from my Andoird phone on the OEM screen in my G37x.
I'm sure you will be able to do the same on the SS.
Save your money and use and Android phone as the "computer".
Worst case scenario, you can mount a tablet in the car.
Either solution, will give you car diagnostic/gauges and every solution you could want.
