Not real sure about that but in the video it is mentioned that:

- no aftermarket company offers a product that could make the Z/28 any better because it already has the best of what companies have to offer already on it
- knowing this, GM set up a retail website that allows current SS owners to purchase/upgrade to the Z/28 goodies

So based on that statement then it is logical that it is doable.
