I like the bimodal functionality, but if it was going to be locked in "louder" mode all the time, I personally feel there are aftermarket exhausts that sound better. For my subjective tastes, it's a bit raspy.

Since simulating the signal to the muffler (PWM?, still unclear) isn't easy, has anyone tried opening the black case on the muffler, bypassing the circiut and powering the solenoid directly? That looks like a solenoid that at some point gets 12v DC to operate, probably at the bottom. Seems like it might be an easier way if the case can be opened.
