1938 Nash Lafayette (grey-brown)
quirky Nash original 96 HP flathead 6, 3 speed manual, floor shifter... some quirks... water pump is mid motor, & slave driven by the Generator, no intake or exhaust manifolds... carb mounts sideways, directly to the top of the head, exhaust saddle mounts on the side of the block
seats reupolstered in grey fabric, in original stitch pattern... but planning on doing them over in brown leather... car still has original rear carpet, door panels, head liner, etc.
Brakes had a total rebuild, from a new dual chamber master Cylinder, all lines, wheel cylinders & brake linings
electrical is 6 volt positive ground... found a rebuilt tube type 6 volt posiotive ground AM / FM radio, that came out of Canada, reportedly from Europe
stock, rebuildable shocks, leaf springs front & rear, with a straight axle front
Wheel and Tire
have original 16 x 4" wheels & tires, but I run custom 15" steel wheels that take the dog dish huncaps, & 15" radial tires
